Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Feeding Specialist (Infant & Pediatric Feeding)
Nurtured Pediatrics is expanding our family-centered, evidence-based pediatric therapy services across the Denver Metro region. We are seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with specialized experience in infant and pediatric feeding to join our in-home and clinic-based practice. The Feeding Specialist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services for infants, toddlers, and young children with feeding, swallowing, oral-motor, and early developmental needs. This position supports families in their homes, our once-weekly clinic day, and through telehealth as clinically appropriate.
You will work directly with caregivers as true partners in care—providing clear guidance, implementing evidence-based strategies, and fostering confidence for both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized, developmentally grounded occupational therapy within a supportive, growth-oriented team culture.
Provide individualized pediatric occupational therapy using evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and responsive feeding approaches.
Evaluate and treat infants and young children with oral-motor, sensory-based, and behavioral feeding challenges.
Support transitions across feeding stages (bottle, breast, solids, mixed textures).
Address early developmental needs including motor delays, positioning, sensory processing, and postural control.
Integrate principles of reflex development and sensory-motor foundations when clinically indicated.
Collaborate closely with parents, medical providers, and referral partners to ensure clarity and continuity of care.
Develop goal areas and care plans that celebrate each child’s strengths and evolving needs.
Maintain thorough, timely documentation aligned with state and payer requirements.
Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture rooted in high-quality pediatric therapy services.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Colorado OT license (or eligibility)
2+ years pediatric experience strongly preferred
Specialized training or experience in:
Screening for and supporting tethered oral tissues (TOTs)
Identifying aspiration risk and dysphagia red flags
Managing complex presentations such as laryngomalacia and tracheomalacia
Feeding tube experience and collaboration with GI/medical teams
Milk weaning, transition to solids, and mixed feeding progression
Oral-motor skill development across infancy and early childhood
Bottle-feeding assessment and support, including flow analysis and positioning
Basic lactation support knowledge and familiarity with feeding-related lactation challenges
Hands-on therapeutic feeding techniques and manual/oral-motor facilitation
Foundational myofunctional therapy concepts applicable to pediatric feeding
Competence with infants (0–3), developmental evaluation, and caregiver coaching
Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently in the home environment
Experience with medically complex infants, airway concerns, or GI-related feeding issues (preferred but not required)
Interest in reflex integration or sensory-motor development welcomed

This clinician will join our hybrid service model of in-home and virtual-based therapies, with upcoming expansion into clinic-based practice. A Nurtured Pediatrics provider supports children ages 3–12 with sensory processing differences, emotional regulation needs, behavioral challenges, coordination deficits, and participation barriers across home, community, and school routines. This position utilizes a strengths-based, coaching-driven model that empowers caregivers and promotes sustainable skill development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized, developmentally grounded occupational therapy within a supportive, growth-oriented team culture.
Evaluate and treat children with sensory processing differences, emotional dysregulation, anxiety-driven behaviors, and coordination challenges.
Support daily routines including dressing, mealtimes, transitions, organization, and participation in play and social interactions.
Integrate postural control, reflex development, motor learning, and sensory-motor foundations as clinically indicated.
Utilize structured caregiver coaching to support carryover and long-term success.
Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, medical providers, and referral partners to ensure clarity and continuity of care.
Develop goal areas and care plans that celebrate each child’s strengths and evolving needs.
Maintain thorough, timely documentation aligned with state and payer requirements.
Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture rooted in high-quality pediatric therapy services.
Qualifications

Experience supporting neurodivergent children (e.g., ADHD, autism, DCD)

Ability to work independently in home and community environments
Preferred experience:
Executive functioning intervention
Reflex integration or sensory-motor foundations
Feeding experience (not required)
